Photography at its core is writing with light. Show us how ambient light can dramatically shape a landscape.
The lighting condition can vary throughout the day. Taking photos during the golden hour ensures a warmer and softer glow. At high noon, sharp shadows and harsher colors can be expected. For this challenge, we want you to take advantage of available lighting abundant in nature and use it to capture dramatic landscape photographs. Chase sun rays peeking in between towering trees or that fiery sunset colors reflecting on the calm sea. Think of how the seasons affect the quality of light and use it to your advantage to take unique shots. For more tips, peruse this tutorial and ace this challenge!
Each participant may submit up to 10 photographs. This competition serves as the qualifying round for the Off the Grid category.
